What is Apostille?

Most people do not know what Apostille is until they require one. Apostille means certification in French. Apostille is required in Singapore for documents notarised by a notary public here and also for certain government documents, like birth certificates, marriage certificates, ACRA certificates and business profiles. Apostille is a certificate issued by the Singapore Academy of Law. It is attached to your document to verify its authenticity so that it can be accepted in any part of the world, as long as they are part of the Apostille family.
